Dutchmen Manufacturing Dutchmen RV was established in 1989 by David Hoefer. Hoefer believed the majority of RV goers were between the ages of 30-50 using their RVs typically in the summer only for summer vacations. He envisioned a company that specializes in the production of a narrow assortment of RVs with a restricted number of floorplans and options. He felt that limiting these elements would ultimately keep the cost of purchasing a new Dutchmen RV obtainable and affordable. Dutchmen is one of the top branded names in the RV industry. In the company's early days, the focus was strictly travel trailers. Then in 1991, Thor Industries purchased the company expanding to now manufacturing: fifth wheels, pop up trailers, motorhomes and other camper vehicles. Dutchmen Lite Travel Trailers Foorplans:
